About Us

Mission
The Pi Eta Delta Sorority is a professional social networking community dedicated to enhancing the professional development (scholarship) of women whom are doctoral scholars or doctoral candidates in addition to assisting young women in the pursuit of their education (PED Princess Program).

Vision
Our vision for the future is optimal education and professional development for women. We envision women working in a symbiotic relationship to make the Pi Eta Delta Diamonds leaders in advancing professional endeavors. The Pi Eta Delta embraces women, values their accomplishments, and understands the positive correlation between education and career development. The Pi Eta Delta Sorority is the leading advocate on education and professional development for women in academia.

Values

These core values guide the way we interact and the relationships we build.

  • Personal Development – We value the autonomy and dignity of our members and that they engage in practices, which foster individual social responsibility a commitment to live the mission and deliver on its promise.
  • Trust and Collaboration – We believe in trust and that engaging in open communication, sharing, and collaborating are the foundation of our success.
  • Respect – We value all individuals and have mutual respect for their ideas, talents, and dignity. We embrace cultural differences amongst our members and promote a community atmosphere that is inclusive of all individuals.
  • Community - We promote a symbiotic relationship of service, which embraces a spirit of unity, belonging, and interdependence based on mutual trust and respect.   
  • Responsibility – We foster a spirit of service to employ our resources and time to the sorority as well as act as resourceful members to the community.
  • Excellence – We work as a collective unit to enhance the development of our members into morally responsible leaders by challenging each of us to listen, to learn, to lead change.
  • Flexibility – We welcome change as a part of the process of growing and moving forward.
